It is particularly important to us that you find a suitable job once you have completed your studies. To support you in doing so is a labour of love.
In your first year of studies you can expect an event in which you will be informed by an external recruitment consultant with extensive experience in the tourism, event, marketing and hotel industries on different career paths. It will give you the general idea on how you will start to plan your career. They will take typical career events from successful employees and managers and provide insight into how they were able to achieve these goals.
Next, you will be required to write down your thoughts and ideas on skills you still might be lacking. Later on, you will analyse ways to fill these gaps. You will be supported by the study programme director, professors of the university and the staff of our Career Services.
Publication and sending of current internship opportunities
You will be presented with internship offers from the Career Service on a regular basis. Often, we work together with partner hotels and graduates from our university, which may consult in an informal way and give information as to the working conditions or special features in the hotel.

How to contact graduates of the Dresden School of Management and partner companies
We maintain a broad network of contacts within the tourism, event and hotel industries. Upon request, we would be happy to establish contacts to alumni and partner companies on your behalf.
At our Open Houses, as well as within regular lectures for our students, graduates from our university report on their job experiences. We will also provide you with corporate presentations to illustrate prospects for a successful career start.

Very popular Networking Events
We offer a behind the scenes look at the different departments of tourism, event and hotel industries with our “Career vis á vis" events. Here you can have your questions answered directly by the representatives from different companies within a small group. In the past we have had, for example, the Sales & Marketing Manager (Gewandhaus Dresden), the Front Office Manager (NH Hotel Dresden) and the Controller (Kempinski Taschenbergpalais) on hand to answer any of your questions regarding the hotel industry.
