FAQ about the application process

Applications have to be submitted online: https://campus.hotel-akademie.com

No application via uni-assist is needed.

After reviewing the application documents, eligible candidates will be invited for either a personal (applicants living in Germany) or telephone/skype interview (international applicants).                           During the interview, students need to show their motivation as well explain how the chosen programme suits their professional interests.

There are no application deadlines for our study programmes.

If you are an international candidate, we recommend to apply at least three months prior the start of your studies in order to have enough time to make the necessary visa and travel arrangements.

For the winter semester 2019 (October) we recommend to apply until May 30th 2019.

We also urge international students to contact the German Embassy in their home country in order to check about the next visa appointments available.

Not a requirement – Numerus Clausus (NC)

All our study programmes do not have minimum grade requirement. However, a personal interview with each prospective student is conducted after a successful application.

First things first – When to apply

Bewerbung

Basically, there is not an application deadline. Nevertheless, we recommend that our prospective international students who require a student visa apply at least three months in advance so that there is enough time to plan for the arrival.

Requirements – These documents must be submitted

  • General higher education entrance level education
  • If you have not yet received your secondary school or technical college degree, you may submit your most recent academic record.
  • Alternatively, applicants with a subject-specific professional degree and 3 years of relevant professional work experience will be accepted. International qualifications will be assessed on an individual basis.
  • Coursework from previous degrees may possibly be accredited toward your academic requirements. If English is not your native language and your most recent school degree is not from a country with English as its official language, you must present a TOEFL test or an equivalent certificate, such as IELTS Academic or TOEIC. This is not necessary if you already have a university degree from an English-speaking country.
