SRH Dresden again in the final round of the Student Hyatt Prize

Pascal Kruggel fights in Paris for the title of best international student in hotel management

For the eleventh time, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has awarded the coveted Hyatt Student Prize to the world's most talented student of the hotel industry.

The SRH Dresden is represented again. Representative is Pascal Kruggel, Bachelor student in the sixth semester "International Hotel Management". He is the only candidate for a German university to have made it into the eleven finalists and will be nominated by a top-class jury in Paris on 14 and 15 January 2018.

In search of tomorrow's leaders, 25 universities active in the hotel industry are selected and asked to nominate their best students for the Hyatt Student Prize. At the SRH Dresden, Pascal Kruggel was chosen for his excellent performance. The trained hotel specialist has already proven himself during his studies in internships in various hotels and countries. The Hyatt Student Prize is a new challenge for him.

"We are very proud to be one of the finalists of the Student Hyatt Prize and thus one of the world's eight best universities in the hotel industry. For our SRH Hochschulcampus Dresden this is a great opportunity to present our educational quality on international terrain. With our student Pascal Kruggel, we are sending a promising candidate to Paris and keeping our fingers crossed for him," comments Karin Zimmermann, Head of Campus Dresden.

Pascal Kruggel has already mastered the first application phase, the submission of a video for personal introduction. As one of eight candidates, he now wants to convince the seven-member jury around Laurent Cintrat, Commercial Vice President of Evian Volvic World. In various tests, the participants' leadership qualities, experience and personality will be evaluated. In addition to a one-week trip to Hyatt headquarters in Chicago and a cheque for EUR 1,000, the winner will also receive a Baccarat crystal trophy. In addition, participation in the final alone offers access to a top-class industry network and the chance to give your own career a decisive boost.
