6-month internship abroad in Scottland
"I completed my internship at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland. The 5-star hotel is one of the "Leading Hotels of the World" with 232 rooms and suites, four restaurants (2 Michelin stars) and three championship golf courses. Having celebrated its 90th anniversary, it has experienced a wide-ranged and interesting history.
I was assigned as supervisor in the housekeeping department. My responsibilities were to check the rooms to specified standards, create rosters and negotiate with suppliers. Furthermore, I was in close contact with the guests and took care of their needs and possible complaints.
I liked the placement very much because I had the opportunity to work with a great team, was assigned a lot of responsibility and came into contact with an ever-changing guest clientele from many different nations. For me, it was a recommendable internship with many great experiences. "

My internship abroad in Prague
“Hilton is considered one of the top dogs among the highly competitive urban hotel market in cities such as Prague. Boasting more than 1000 hotel rooms, divided among two hotels, the cluster-apparatus houses a large number of guests from different guest segments.
I was stationed in the Revenue Department as Revenue & Yield trainee. My tasks included the creation of daily, weekly and monthly reports, sales forecasts and analysis. Additionally, I updated our Online Travel Agencies (OTA) channels. Within the organisation of the departments I was assigned with my Coordinator Position between the Revenue Department, the Reservations Department, the Conference and Sales and the Sale Departments.
In short: It was a very complex internship that was a lot of fun and I was able to learn a lot. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the revenue and yield department. However: Keep calm and love the Revenue Department! “

With ERASMUS+ in Barcelona
“Why did I apply for funding for Erasmus through the SRH Berlin? Obviously, because Erasmus is a great opportunity to gain financial support. My costs for a beachside apartment in Barcelona were covered with a monthly funding of 345 €. I also had taken the language tests prior to the beginning of my internship to assess my level. This motivated me to participate in a Language Tandem with native speakers locally. In Barcelona there were weekly events organized, where people from around the world come together.
